Horse Riding in Cyprus

Cyprus Adventure can organise a horse riding trip, set a leisurely pace, ideal for families, beginners and anyone who would like to enjoy a pleasant horse riding experience through unspoiled countryside and perhaps the Sea Caves Area.

This ride runs hourly during the first and last hours of daylight depending on time of the year. It is too hot in summer for midday riding.

Bookings to be made at least 48 hours in advance and preferably longer.

The trip begins at the Ranch and follows tracks through fruit plantations to the Sea Caves Area if in the Paphos option.

They can arrange transfers depending on where you are staying if needed.
Riding from Paphos, Polis, Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia.

On the airport road, at the roundabout nearest the American Academy is the New sports ground. It was built on the grounds of the old Larnaca Football Stadium.

There is a nice and relaxing cafe which hosts the kids, parents and friends during the day. There is now a new football stadium on the edge of town on the Nicosia road which is not the only football stadium in town, but it houses football matches on Saturdays throughout the season.

Phinikoudes Beach, Larnaca, Cyprus

Phinikoudes is the most famous beach in Larnaca, Cyprus. Phinikoudes means small palm trees (now grown into very big palm trees) that were planted in 1922.

Phinikoudes beach is in the centre of Larnaca and is lined with cafes, restaurants and bars where you can sit and enjoy the sun. The beach is sandy and the waters are shallow so perfect for children.

There's lots to do for all the family at Phinikoudes Beach. If you get bored there is a small fun park for young children, arcades and watersports for the more adventurous. Sunbeds and umbrellas are also available. As busy as Phinikoudes beach sounds, it is still relatively laid back.

There is also a marina to the north of beach with various sea boat tours available and also diving.

Larnaca Park, Zenonos Kitieos Street, Larnaca

This small, enchanted park is located on Zenonos Kitieos Street, next to the post-office, not far from the Larnaca Haunted House, and diagonally across from the Pierides Museum. It's full of beautiful plants, flowers, a pond, and other surprises, a tranquil space to be enjoyed in amongst the tourist attractions and their crowds.

Oleastro (the wild olive tree) Olive Park, Cyprus

Standing alone on the hill of ‘Mosfilovounos’, amidst the olive trees in the organic olive grove Oleastro, the building is in full harmony with its environment. Its stonewalls, wooden balconies and tiled roofs transport visitors to a village of yesteryear.

Located between Limassol and Paphos on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Anogyra, Oleastro is the brainchild of Andreas and Lina Ellinas. Oleastro is all about teaching the visitor the history of olive oil. A small but dynamic company, Oleastro Enterprises is the market leader in the production of Cyprus organic olive oil. The centre and olive oil museum offer a wealth of information, interesting items to purchase and a good taverna and coffee shop.

A visit to the Olive Park – ‘ Oleastro’ is fun for the entire family giving visitors the opportunity to find out all there is to know about olives.
